「小寒」是第二十三個節氣，標誌著季冬時節的開始，此時的天氣寒冷但仍未到極點。小寒開始，主要注意下半身的保暖，穿保暖的鞋襪，以防寒氣從腳下侵入，導致體內寒濕夾雜。飲食方面建議多吃溫熱的食物補益身體，溫性的蔬菜包括芥菜、茴香和蔥等。隨著「時令」蔬菜的變化，選擇合時蔬菜的好處是，它們在最合適的時候種植和收割，所需農藥會較少，味道也較好；而由於「當造」，產量較多，價格也會較低。

祝大家新年快樂！2024年1月1日，當大家有各種活動慶祝元旦日時，共享食物基金收到熱心市民來電，表示有20箱急凍魚蛋燒賣，因存倉問題，希望捐贈，否則就需要棄置，十分浪費。在公眾假期，多個地區合作伙伴中心都放假，加上要有急凍設備，才能接收這批食物。幸好，食享新界（北區）* 合作伙伴健康行動在粉嶺的地區服務中心，有大型雪櫃可以儲存這批食物，而又可以安排到同事假日處理。

儘管在過去的一周天氣非常寒冷，但義工仍然冒著寒風去尋找和派發食物給有需要的人。

Due to commercial operations, leftover food that is still safe to eat in the food supply industry is turned into garbage and thrown into landfills every day. The government will implement Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Charging in April next year. We very much hope that all merchants will arrange food donations as soon as possible to reduce the garbage levy and help those in need. In the past year from December 2022 to November 2023, Food Commons and its regional partners recycled 544,541.88 kgs of food and distributed 537,188.57 kgs, reaching 98.65%; The number of beneficiaries was 569,287. From June 2009 to November 2023, a total of 10,835,562.34 kgs of food were recycled, and the total distribution volume was 10,308,088.41 kgs, accounting for 95.13%; The number of beneficiaries was 9,372,314.
