Hong Kong is facing a series of problematic issues due to the increasing amount of food waste. Our society has been affected by the said subject in different ways; from economy to living, and from environmental pollution to the social development.
Food is a valuable resource on earth, but not something to be wasted so unnecessarily at any time in our daily lives. Our environment should not be damaged that caused by the food waste. In addition, we should pay attention that there are still many people hunger for food while we are wasting them at the same time.
The principal goal of our Foundation aims to save the surplus food being wasted unnecessarily in our community, in order to protect our environment. To this end, we partner with several local non-profit making organizations hand-in-hand to fulfill our belief. We are on the same track committed to the mission of facilitating the reduction of food waste through the redistribution of the surplus edible ones and be recycling them upon collected.
The executive board of our foundation was formed by a team of energetic elites who came from different professions. We however have the same goal in mind dedicated to shape-up a “Save Food. Less Waste” culture in Hong Kong. It is an ongoing process that hopefully to be inspired to the people from all walks of life. It is also a long-term objective that would be beneficial to our society, as well as our next generation.
Thank you once again for your interest in the Foundation! I invite you to find out more information about us through our website. We also welcome you to contact us for knowing more on our activities or to explore opportunities of working together to make Hong Kong a better place.
