During this period, the temperature difference between day and night grows, and morning dew condenses. It is preferable to keep the lungs wet, avoid dryness, and warm and nourish the stomach.
Environment and Conservation Fund Food Commons@Shatin is a community-based initiative that collects surplus food from markets and shops, redistributing it to the elderly and low-income families. By involving volunteers, recovering unsold bread, and collecting near-expiry packaged goods, the program helps reduce landfill waste while fostering a spirit of mutual support.
The Mid-Autumn Festival represents reunion, and mooncakes are a symbol of the occasion. However, issues including as overbuying, conflicting preferences, and partial consumption have made mooncakes a "significant source of leftovers".
This Mid-Autumn Festival, the Food commons Foundation once again joins hands with Food Grace to become "Green Partners" to jointly promote the concept of reducing waste at source and cherishing food during the festival.
