Due to business operations, food establishments such as bakeries and restaurants often end up with surplus food that goes to waste every day. Food Commons Foundation has been in contact with some of these establishments, and through local volunteers, they are able to spend one or two hours to deliver the soon-to-be-wasted food to those in need, ensuring it is enjoyed in a timely manner. This initiative not only prevents waste but also helps those in need, achieving two goals at once.
"Helping others is always a good deed, no matter how much or how little you do." This is the sentiment expressed by Freeman, a seasoned volunteer.
